Acknowledgements
Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Polish Scientific Society of Combustion Engines as well as the conference organizer the Institute of Automobiles and Internal Combustion Engines of the Kraków University of Technology I wish to extend sincere gratitude to all of the conference attendees, for their active participation in the VIII International Congress on Combustion Engines, that took place in Kraków between 17-18th of June 2019. I also hope that all of the conference participants were satisfied with the scientific level, the slightly altered format of the Congress, as well as with the social events included. I believe that the International Congress on Combustion Engines continues to fruitfully carry out its mission to bring together of both the national and international scientific and industrial entities related to combustion engines. I also hope that everyone found something new and intriguing among the many speeches and presentations discussing engines and emissions that were given at the conference. This is thanks to the excellent selection of great speakers, whom I wish to thank for their attendance, along with Dr Piotr Bielarczyc and the BOSMAL Automotive Research and Development Institute Ltd in Bielsko-Biała, who were involved in invitations and preparations for the Congress.
In particular I would like to say thank you to all the individuals involved in organizing the Congress, for their work, kindness, patience, and welcoming attitude. We all hope to see you all at the next, 9th International Congress on Combustion Engines in 2021.
